A servant as old as the palace who climbs onto the roof, flutters Gonryongpo(Drago robe for King), which is like the king's spirit, and shouts toward the sky, “Sangwibok(Come back, your majesty)!”
Although all the kings of Joseon dynasty, which have been handed down to the 27th generation, have disappeared, the three-year funeral process and royal tombs have become a cultural heritage of mankind, proving the lives of the old people in today.
The spirit of the royal tomb, "Rak," leads the audience to follow the king’s funeral procession of Joseon Dynasty with fantastic songs, dances, and performances, and empathizes with all audiences so that they can feel the life of this moment more intensely through the cultural heritage of the Joseon Dynasty.
This performance against the backdrop of the real space leading from Hongsalmun Gate to Jeongjagak of the royal tomb where the king of Joseon dynasty is buried, maximizes visual beauty and immersion by expressing a three-dimensional world that transcends reality and imagination with advanced cultural technology.

- Chapter 1. Time for the Spirits

The spirit of the royal tomb, 'Rak', awakens all beings of the royal tomb and welcomes the audience invited today.
She tells the story of the royal tomb where she lives, which begins with the death of the king.
- Chapter 2. Invocation of the Holy Spirit
-
Upon death, the king meets the spirit of the royal tomb, 'Rak'. She sings a song of condolence, shouting "Sangwibok(Come back, your majesty)."
☞ When the king dies, the eunuch carries the king's robe on the eaves of the roof of the palace and performs the ceremony of calling out to the spirit of the deceased king shouting "Sangwibok (Come back without going to the path of death)”.
The servants designate the officials of the three-office systems in charge of the king's state funeral process, consisting of the Binjeon dogam (Office for Chapel of Rest), Gukjang dogam (Office for Funeral Rites), and Salleung dogam (Office for the Establishment of Royal Tombs).
- Chapter 3. Song of the Stonemason

The construction of a royal tomb is long and arduous task. The spirit of the royal tomb, "Rak," creates stone figures (statues of Confucian official and statues of military officer, stone sheep, stone horses, stone tigers) that escort the royal tomb for the tired stone mason, and completes the royal tomb.
☞ Salleung dogam designates the tomb site located about 4 kilometers from the palace and within 31 kilometers of the palace, and build the royal tomb.
- Chapter 4. King’s Funeral Cortege

The spirit of the royal tomb, "Rak," greets the king’s spirit, and the king heads to the garden of God with the spirits of the court ladies.
Although tigers disturb the king's procession, the king's spirit overpowers the tigers.
- Chapter 5. In the Garden of the Gods

The king’s spirit rests along with the spirit of the royal tomb, "Rak," and people live their ordinary lives outside the royal tomb.
A new king's era begins with the blessing of all beings in the royal tomb.
☞ Bumyo: After three years of mourning, the king's Sinju(the spirit tablet) is enshrined in Jongmyo Shrine.
