The 2026 World Heritage Joseon Royal Tombs Festival is a cultural event designed to
promote
the historical value of the Joseon Royal Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Korea
and
around the world, while offering visitors an opportunity to experience the royal tombs
up
close.
The Joseon Royal Tombs, the burial sites of the kings and queens of the Joseon
Dynasty and the emperors and empresses of the Korean Empire, are a treasured heritage
and
the world’s only fully preserved collection of royal tombs from a single dynasty.
